Sunday Service Relocation

As part of Rising Tide, we have been looking for a facility that would allow us to double our capacity and increase our Kingdom impact here in East Providence. It has been difficult to find the right place, and while pursuing short-term facility options as we negotiated our lease, we found God’s favor and unexpected provision through the East Providence School District.

In this video, Jared shares the news of our upcoming Sunday service relocation to Edward R. Martin Middle School starting in October. We invite you to watch the video above to catch up and hear the story behind this upcoming move.

Sunday Relocation FAQ

When will Sunday services move?

This move will happen in October of 2026.

Where will BridgePointe’s services be held?

Our services will be held in the Martin Middle School, on 111 Brown St, East Providence, RI. The school is right off I-195 and Warren Ave, using exit 1A eastbound, and exit 2 westbound. The middle school is newly renovated, and they expect the 600-seat auditorium to be completed soon. We will share photos and a walkthrough of the space in the summer as we get closer to the move.

Why are we moving our services?

While the long-term solution for us is still a new facility, it became apparent that we needed a short-term solution. Our lease was running out, and we needed more space for people on Sundays. We had our largest regular Sunday with 700 in attendance this spring, and we welcomed 1,200 people across four services on Easter. Moving to a larger auditorium will allow us to go down to two services, alleviating strain on our teams, and give us room to grow significantly while we prepare to move to our long-term home.

How long do we expect to stay at Martin Middle School?

We have signed a two-year contract with the school department, with the option to exit sooner. We hope to move from there to our own facility. Keep praying that God provides the long-term home we are looking for!

How will BP Kids and BP Youth be affected?

On Sundays, BP Kids will use some of the classrooms on site and continue to provide our full programming from birth through 5th grade. We are considering a few different options for space for BP Youth and BP Kids to meet for mid-week gatherings, including keeping a portion of our existing space. We will provide an update once the details are finalized.

Where will the offices be located?

We are considering a few different options for office space and other mid-week activities, such as groups and classes, including keeping a portion of our existing space. We will provide an update once the details are finalized.

How does this move fit in the Rising Tide initiative?

This relocation directly supports our Rising Tide goals. While we continue to search for the right facility to purchase and renovate, moving to the middle school provides a short-term solution that actually accelerates our progress. It gives us the increased capacity we need for growth immediately, and it does so under a budget that may be lower than our current costs. This allows us to be even more prepared when the right long-term home is found. Our mission remains the same: we are rising to the occasion to see the fullness of what God wants to do through BridgePointe.
